Recce

The location for the multicam production would be a TV Studio.
The reason being is because it is the most appropriate for the type of production we are shooting, having multiple camera setups means having the proper space in order to fit everything but also the lighting equipment as well as having the proper mixing/ editing room is mandatory and any extras such as green screen for that matter.

The theme of our production is to showcase and represent London through the different types of issues being discussed therefore it is essential to have some sort of a London theme going on and the initial idea is to either green screen a London scenery or insert a short clip representing the city.

The image below clearly shows a famous London scenery with Shard in the distance and a few other popular to London places.

Primary research

From the primary research we see that most of the people that answered were female and most aged 18+. There are arrange of answers for their household income as some people didn’t know it so they guessed but nearly all watch talk shows. From the second part most people said they watch The Tonight Show with Jimmy Falon and The Late Late Show with James Corden, nearly all watch crime shows. With that the people who do watch crime shows said that they watch it sometimes. Most said yes to participating in a talk show and answered that the most important part of a talk show and a crime show are the conversations and storylines.  What we found was important that most people who took part to answer said they watch tv around 9 – 12pm and said they would like the show to be on channel 4 and some with bbc 3.

2 cameras for our mulit-cam to show has went down on Monday the 15th November witch has set back our recording. So our teacher has brought foward our deadline for our first task as we have for time because we can't recorded. As we can't recorded using the cameras in the studio we have changed our recording plan by deciding to use our iPads as cameras and order some adapters for our iPad to sit on a stand, we are also trying to get a app called Recolive Muilt-cam which is a app which lets you view all cameras simultaneously, combine images together from several cameras, create transitions from one camera to another.

First meeting 01/11/2016

On the first day that we was put into our groups Tim and Natalie pitched there ideas again to our group as they both had similar ideas and we was going to merge them together by discussed their similarities and differences. We chose to use Tim’s original title, “We Are London” and his idea of using music to tackle crime in young people. Tim suggested we have the show be an hour long, but Danielle has since informed us that our show must be 20 minutes long.

First time using TV studio equipment

On the first day that we in the studio 6 of us at a time was taken into the control room and Tom the technician showed us how to use the equipment and what roles are in the control room, after we was taught a bit about the roles in the studio the class was split in two random groups and one half controlled the studio and the other was performing. I was in the first group that performed, we came up with a quick 5 minute show that was about a guy (played by me) who was cheating on two different girls that came on the show.

After we swapped around and we all chose a role to play in the production, I was the visual mixer who was responsible to changed the main screen that the audience would see on the TV.

Multi-cam idea

We Are London
Natalie, Veera, Daisy, Tim, Dianni, Lucy, Zain, Jacira, Dimitar Tim’s multicam production idea.

We Are London A talk show where young people discuss crime and violence within their community, and ways to tackle it. Using creativity (music, spoken word etc) as a positive way to vent their frustrations rather than turn to criminal activity and the show as a platform to showcase their talents. Natalie’s Idea - Press Play A talk show focused around the discussion of upcoming music and a platform for young musicians to showcase their talents. Similarities Both talk shows, both platforms for talented young people.

This is our idea for out tv production that we was created in the future.
